Collaboration with Abby Portner in which we adapted some of her work into 3D animations.
Abby is a talented production designer that worked with many bands, creating album artworks, videos, set designs, and in many other fields.
Her work normally has a handmade feel to it and they evoke a childhood quality. To translate those aspects to 3D we choose a clay material for the first animation:
The second one was also inspired by one of her brother’s songs: Ghost of Books (from the album Avey Tare – Down There), in which we simulated a ghost sheet floating on a library:
